Angkentye

Angkentye refers to messages. This is about Aboriginal men and boys coming together to connect with culture, heal and grow, while fostering a sense of pride as we reclaim ownership of our stories. These are the messages we need to share.

Leadership, Training and Development

Our leadership, training and development programs support the professional growth of both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, creating spaces for them to lead and grow, personally and professionally.

Events and Keynote Speaking

We share the vision of Kings Narrative and our work as keynote speakers at events and workshops.

Leadership Workshops

We provide leadership workshops focusing on Aboriginal leadership development.

Trauma Informed Care and Practice Workshop

Developing our trauma-informed practice is essential to guide policy development, trauma-specific work, and service care strategies, helping us better meet the needs of people and communities.

Facilitator Training

Delivered by Aboriginal men from the Northern Territory, tailored to address the unique challenges faced by our communities, supporting our men in delivering culturally grounded, trauma-informed care.

Cultural Consulting

Our cultural consulting programs reflect the important work we do in delivering services that share our culture and create space for non-Aboriginal people to develop a deeper understanding of Aboriginal peoples, cultures, perspectives, and histories.

Cultural Immersion

Our cultural immersion program builds understanding, awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through experiencing the Country and Culture of the Arrernte people.

Cultural Awareness

Our cultural consulting program builds the understanding, awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with a particular focus on Central Australia.

Justice

Our justice programs are about supporting our men, including our young men and boys, away from the justice system. We aspire for our men to walk in their preferred ways of being as the authors of their own stories.

Justice Programs

A range of programs within the youth justice and correctional facilities for our men and boys, as well professional development for staff.

Stronger Stories Program

A 12-week program aimed at providing community-based access group therapy to male offenders on new Community Corrections Orders, suspended sentences and parole.

By taking men out on Country, making bush medicines and providing cultural immersions, Kings Narrative is connecting Aboriginal men to their roots. Using Narrative Approaches to help Aboriginal men unpack, understand and re-author their own stories, Tyson’s mission is to unlock the potential of each participant.
